From the owners 店主の思い
2013年に前身のチェシュメを始めました。
当時は看板や壁も手描きの粗い店で、他に仕事をしながらの営業でした。
「怪しい店に怪しい人たちが集まっている」と通報されたこともあったっけ。
それでもクリエイティブな遊びができる場所を作りたいと頑張っていましたが、コロナ禍に自主休業を余儀なくされました。
終わらない戦争の影響で物価はぐんぐん上がるのに、給料は上がらず。万年不況の中、居酒屋やカフェが軒並み閉店していきます。
そんな中、個性的すぎる飲食店を再開するなんて、どうなんだろう。
色々言われたし、悩みに悩みました。
でも、誰もが安心して、自分自身でいられる場所を作りたい。
クリエイティブな人たちの表現の場になりたい。
やるだけやってみようと決めました。
2024年3月1日、ブラック・バード・イータリー開店しました。

We started Cheshmeh, our previous cafe bar in 2013.
Signs, walls, everything was handmade and rough, didn't have much but we were having fun.
Once we were reported "suspicious people gathering at the suspicious place"...good memory now
It was hard but we were trying our best to create the open, creative space for everyone until Covid hit.
Endless wars, prolonged stagflation, tens of thousands of cafes and bars were forced to close down.
Such mixed feelings to restart a quirky little bar under such circumstances.
Are we too strange to this society? Could this be business?
But, this is what we want to do.
We will try our best to build up a beautifully creative community
where everyone can feel safe and be themselves.
